How to turn your day time look into evening worthy wear, with just a few simple steps!
No woman wants to wash and reapply, or lug their 5lb bag of makeup from home to the office everyday just for happy hour cocktails after work!
Below is a step by step way to get from morning to night! and all you will need to bring from home are two products! (easily stowed away in your purse)
Here is everything used in this tutorial:
Step 1:
Apply Water Base Canvas all over clean face including your eyelids, then apply concealer (ONLY where necessary) to any redness or blemishes.
Apply liquid foundation under eyes and over concealed areas, unless needed: don't apply foundation all over your face, no one wants to look like they are wearing a heavy application!
Set your face with Mate Loose powder to keep the liquid foundation from moving!
Step 2:
Using the Makeup Forever brown pencil, lightly define your brows to give them a full shape!
From the Naked 2 Palette, I applied Bootycall on the lid and undereye, then I applied Foxy to the brow bone.
Last I applied three coats of Mascara to eye lashes, since the eye is very clean and simple I wanted to give it a little something!
Step 3:
Take a lip liner that is a similar to your natural lip color,
and apply a layer of clear gloss on top to give it some shine!
DAYTIME: The Finished Look!
Now to turn this face into a look wearable for evening!
Step 4:
Make sure to always keep blotting papers in your purse to take away any oil that may build up during the day.
Applying black liner is a good way to darken your look but not go as far as creating a smokey eye, and it will make your eyes pop!I used Makeup Forever Cream Shadow (black) applied on the top lid as well as applied to outer corners on the bottom lid.
(If applying cream liner makes you sweat! This can be done with black pencil liner as well!)
Since I have kept the eyes relatively light, what will really complete this evening look is the lips! I wanted to add dramatic color, so keeping the eyes clean but defined allows the lips to be the focus. No fighting between features!
Step 5:
I applied MAC Lipmix in Fuchsia with my finger, to give the lips a "stain" look. By applying with my finger, there is no defined line like with liner or lipstick. It gives the appearance of coming from within the skin.
No reapplication of mascara is needed (re-applying over dried tends to create clumps!)
EVENING: The Finished Look!
Simple and oh-so-easy transition from DAY to NIGHT.
All that was needed to create the evening look was the Black Cream shadow and the Fuchsia Lipmix!
Ready to enjoy some delicious cocktails and the weight of lugging around extra makeup lifted!
